VEHICLE FAULT FINDING

FUEL AND EXHAUST SYSTEMS FAULT FINDING

Excessive fuel consumption
» Air filter element dirty or clogged.
» Faulty carburetor.
» Fuel injection system fault.
» Ignition timing incorrect or ignition system fault.
» Tires under-inflated (“Weekly checks”).

Fuel leakage and/or fuel odor
» Damaged fuel tank, pipes or connections.

Excessive noise or fumes from exhaust system
» Leaking exhaust system or manifold joints.
» Leaking, corroded or damaged silencers or pipe.
» Broken mountings causing body
    or suspension contact.
